Genetic Testing

Genetic Testing identifies potential changes in the genes and chromosomes of embryos, before they are implanted in the uterus.

In many cases, genetic changes do not mean that the child will be born with an illness and/or a condition, if these changes only exist in one partner in the couple.

If this issue should arise, it will be necessary to use donor eggs or semen from the bank, after conducting a genetic test on the donors.

It is important to carry out genetic testing to ensure, as far as possible with current techniques, that when assisted reproduction techniques result in a successful pregnancy that the child born is healthy.
